On 6 June 2017, I presented at the Ulster University Belfast Campus, for an invited presentation about the MPLC study for the Ark Ageing Programme. The presentation was called ‘How older male kinship carers describe their care responsibilities and implications for ageing male identities’.
This seminar was co-hosted by Ulster University’s Institute for Research in the Social Sciences(IRiSS) as part of its ‘Pusing the Boundaries’ seminar series. To view the Powerpoint slides, click here. You can also view a video of the presentation here.
On 7th June 2017, I also gave a presentation at an event called ‘Exploring inequalities in caring: grandparents’ experiences of kinship care from multiple perspectives’ at Queens University Belfast. My presentation in unfortunately unavailable as a result of technical issues but the slides can be accessed here, as well a number of the other videos and presentations from what was a fascinating day.
Gemma Carney, who attended the event wrote an excellent and insightful blog post about the event that can be read here.
